Duke of Ed 2021/22

Duke of Ed

Duke of Edingburgh’s Award – Rossmar School

Duke of Ed requires pupils aged 14+ to complete volunteering, skill and physical sections within an allotted time, a practise and an expedition in unknown terrain.

It is a brilliant experience and opportunity for pupils to learn like skills and develop independence.  Especially taking responsibility for your own learning and achievements, pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone.  Allowing pupils to work together and be outdoors are beneficial for all.

Nine pupils from Rossmar were the first ever to receive their bronze award.  This is a brilliant achievement for the young people, their families and the staff that were involved.  2020 Five KS4 pupils have registered for bronze and Nine for silver
