Rebound Therapy

Rebound therapy is a term used to describe 'the use of trampolines in providing opportunities for movement, therapeutic exercise and recreation for people across the whole spectrum of special needs.' Rossmar School has a brand-new state of the art Rebound Therapy room for our pupils to use to meet their needs.

The room was constructed following consultation with Rebound Therapy UK who advised on what features the room should have and ensured that it was designed to meet the correct standards. Several staff have been trained in Rebound Therapy to Level 2 and oversee therapy in our fantastic facility with pupils from all key stages across the school.

Music Therapy

Each Tuesday, music therapy sessions take place in the music room.  Pupils are referred by Teachers and or Social Workers (with parental consent received) to engage tin specific music-making activities and musical improvisations that promote greater well-being by addressing discussed aims.  Often these aims include developing self-confidence, communication, and interaction skills; providing an effective creative outlet for self-expression that reaches beyond the bounds of verbal expression.
