You can raise funds for Rossmar when you shop online

Hi everyone

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday - you could be collecting free donations for Friends of Rossmar School?

There are over 3,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury's – it doesn't cost you a penny extra!

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3...

1. Head to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/friendsofrossmar/ and join for free.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

3. After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever!

There are no catches or hidden charges and Friends of Rossmar School will be really grateful for your donations.

The Derrytrasna Pastoral Care Awards 2018

The Department of Education, in partnership with the Public Health Agency, is seeking examples of outstanding pastoral care in schools.

The Awards recognise school communities that have demonstrated exceptional co-operative effort in supporting the pastoral care of pupils and their families in the past 18 months.

The closing date is Friday 15 December 2017 and communities are being urged to nominate now.

Schools cannot self-nominate but parents or others in the wider school community can nominate a school that has provided exceptional pastoral care.

Applications should be made by no later than 15 December 2017 using the online form available at www.education-ni.gov.uk/articles/derrytrasna-award-pastoral-care
