Rossmar have joined the
Daily Mile challenge
'Get children fit for a life'
The Daily Mile is a social activity, wherein the children walk, run or jog – at their own pace – in the fresh air with friends for 15 minutes every day. It is a profoundly simple and effective concept that any school can implement free of charge without the need for staff training.

On Wednesday 11th April Ballykelly Men’s Shed visited Rossmar School to work with R7. The men arrived with beautiful wooden planters already prepared. The gentleman in charge explained to R7 what they were going to do. R7 had to attach the wooden boards to the planters for them to become beches and a lovely seating area for pupils and staff to sit at and enjoy.
R7 pupils got dressed by wearing protective gloves and High vis vests. Keanu, Lewis, Christopher, Niamh, James & Ethan took part. All thoroughly enjoyed using the cordless drill and getting the opportunity to put in the screws to the benches and see them being built before their eyes. A lovely opportunity and something that will remain in Rossmar grounds for years to come that our own pupils got the opportunity to make.
