  Five Circles Family Support Project

   

  The main aims of the Five Circles Project is to reduce levels of isolation and exclusion experienced by children with learning disabilities and their families, by enhancing access to local communities, increasing skills and learning. The project will deliver a person centred assessment to determine the particular needs of each family and will develop a programme of activities to address those needs.

  The project will complement school activities, provide training for parents, deliver sibling activities, and develop wider family support.

  The project is open to families who have a child with a learning disability who is under 12 years of age. For more information please contact Destined:

• Global Learning Programme

  The GLP enriches the learning process, connects learning and brings an exciting new dimension to existing subjects, such as literacy and maths. It develops young people's understanding of global issues and empowers them as global citizens to take action for a fair and sustainable world. The programme contributes to the achievement of curriculum requirements and the development of a positive ethos, while also encouraging schools to engage with their community and forge local and international connections with other schools. Every school that signs up is supported throughout their journey by the GLP team as they adopt a whole school approach to global learning.

• Investors in Pupils Award

  The Investors in Pupils' Charter mark is a prestigious national award that encourages  pupils to become more involved in their own educational development.   Comments: I cannot recommend Rossmar enough. The staff are fantastic and I have never had any worries about my daughter being at school  because I know how much the staff care for the children. I am very happy with my child’s placement at Rossmar School. My child has come on fantastically since attending. Eac and every member of staff always makes us feel welcome. Brilliant school. Rossmar is an excellent school. Every teacher and classroom assistant has been fantastic. The teachers and staff are a credit to the school. He just loves going to Rossmar every day. I have no worries as the staff are so caring and thoughtful towards him and he is in a safe place. He has a smile on his face when he gets the school bus. I feel Rossmar is a good school for my child to go to. Rossmar is an excellent special needs school. Rossmar is the ideal school to meet my child’s needs and the care given to my child is outstanding. The staff at Rossmar have brought on my child immensely. He loves to go to school. Even when the school is closed he wants to attend. Rossmar School is the best school for my son. He has come a long way since he started this school. He is a changed wee boy. He is doing well at school and at home. He is more settled than I have ever seen him. Rossmar School has helped my son in many ways and I am very grateful for the help that he has received over the years. Rossmar is a great school and the teachers are very good with the children at all times. Thank you Rossmar. All good. A very enjoyable school. A lot of things for them to do and outings too. My daughter is very happy at the school. It is an excellent school and the staff are very good. The principal always has the best interests of the pupils at heart and this is very obvious. We are proud and happy that our daughter attends this school. The staff are brilliant with our daughter and as a parent it is great to know she is well cared for and looked after. We are really happy with our son’s progress and he loves going to school. So happy days. Keep it up. I can honestly say that Rossmar is a brilliant school and my daughter enjoys the whole aspect of the school. She thrives and has made tremendous progress since she first started. All staff and bus people have 100% dedication and are brilliant. I can only say good things about the school. Principal, teachers, teaching  support staff are fantastic. All very supportive and caring. I have been in a lot of schools with my other children and friends. This school and staff are the best I have ever worked with and are very highly thought of in the area. The staff at Rossmar do an excellent job all round. They need new school buildings and lots of refurbishments to enable them to continue their good work I am so pleased that my son attends Rossmar School. I have seen the progress since he started and he couldn’t be in a better place.Thanks. My child is extremely happy at Rossmar. I have nothing but praise for the principal, teachers and staff. Wonderful school. My child has been at Rossmar now for 11 years and I have always found all the staff helpful and caring towards my child and me. All forms of teaching, as always, have been to a great level and I am always informed about any changes. I know that at any time I can call in or phone and no matter what the problems are they are quickly dealt with.
