  • Double Success for Rossmar

    Thu 11 Apr 2019

Rossmar School are celebrating a double success after an amazing night at the Young Enterprise Awards in Belfast City Hall. Two classes 11/12 A and B travelled up to the black tie event on Thursday night with their teachers, Mr McNeill and Miss McClelland, their classroom assistants and the school’s Principal, Mrs Clements and came home with two prizes in the Team Programme categories.

Each class came up with their own business and made products to sell back in February at the Young Enterprise Trade Fair in the Foyleside Shopping Centre. Both classes won the North West Team Programme category and got through to the grand final in the City Hall on the 11th of April. The Crazy Crafters in class 11/12A won the Sales and Marketing Award and the Rossmar Crafters in class 11/12B won the Communication and Growth Award.

11/12A class teacher Daryl McNeill said; “We are all absolutely delighted with the awards from Young Enterprise and it is a credit to the hard work from the pupils that they won it and they should be very proud of themselves.”  11/12B class teacher Julie McClelland also added “Young Enterprise has been a very valuable experience to the pupils in terms of them developing their team work, communication and employability skills.”

Mrs Clements commented “That all pupils and staff deserve this recognition as their work and dedication was evident in all of the wonderful products they made.” She added her thanks and appreciation to all of the parents for their support at each of the sales and for turning up on Thursday as the celebration reception
